Gender Inclusive Housing
Gender Inclusive Housing is an on-campus living option available to our students who wish to belong to a welcoming community not restricted by 性别 identity or 性别 expression. This option will be available to all interested students regardless of 比赛, 性别, 性, or any other identity.
While the 居住生活 Office will work with students to find appropriate inclusive accommodations in any residence hall, the recommended halls for 性别 inclusive living are the new residence hall and 安纳波利斯大厅.
To best support this new initiative, there will be a Gender Inclusive Housing 社区 Agreement which provides guidelines for those within this community and to ensure ongoing training and development for all students regarding 性别 inclusion across campus.
Vision Statement:
Frostburg State University will implement an inclusive, 确认, and safe living environment that supports all student identities and expressions. All students will be afforded this opportunity, regardless of 性别 identity, 性别 expression, 性, 年龄, 能力, 比赛, 宗教, 类站, or other identity markers.
Mission Statement:
All identities and expressions are welcomed to live in the Frostburg State University residence halls safely, 确认, 并接受, without ridicule or discrimination. In conjunction with all other housing options, Gender Inclusive Housing affords the opportunity to live in an environment not restricted by traditional conceptions of 性别.
The 居住生活 工作人员 will facilitate ongoing training, programmatic efforts, and resources for the betterment of those within Gender Inclusive Housing and for the broader campus population.
Collaborating with campus partners, 居住生活 will advocate for 性别 inclusive practices throughout the Division of Student Affairs.
